"Google-lanche" continues on many sites; people searching for Berg video
People are still searching for links to the
Nick Berg decapitation video (WMV format, if you've just
got to see it - the link may change, but this is via FreeCache, so it may hang around longer).
Northeast Intelligence Network has a full translation of what Abu Mus'ad Al Zarqawi said just before murdering Berg.
A number of talk show hosts (most notably syndicated hosts Sean Hannity, Michael Savage, Todd Schnitt, Michael Medved & Glen Beck among others) have played the chilling audio on their radio programs; that's far more than enough for me.
These people are simply evil. There is no other word for it.
On the other side of the coin, the increased traffic over this continues. I find it hard to believe that there are that many people who are interested in this, but for nothing else than the sheer horror and evil of it.
Wizbang is averaging more than 20,000 visits per hour.
Wizbang's numbers are not unique. The Google & Yahoo search engines are driving people to sites across the blogosphere.
To any spillover we get, welcome, and I hope you'll find something that'll keep you coming back. I'm just sorry that you've found me under such dire circumstances.

I got a bit of an increase on Tuesday afternoon because I gave a hat tip to Mitch Berg in one post and mentioned somebody named Nick in another.

It is odd, isn't it? I spent a week waiting for my sitemeter to hit 10,000 and two days later I was approached 12,000. Huh? I checked my stats and found that every single last search hit was "Nick Berg."
I must admit to having searched for the video myself, though I hadn't found an mpeg version yet.
Even if I had downloaded it, I doubt that I would have watched it. I DID download an audio file of it and still haven't listened to it. From what I've read from those who've seen/heard the tape I don't think I want to. I don't think that it's
me that needs to see or hear it; it's those that refuse to understand what this is all about that need to.

The Audio track is advanced about 7 seconds
ahead of the visuals. This is why Nick starts
screaming before the "religion of peace" has
got the knife stuck in him.
Do any technogeeks have an adjusted version of
the video? I want the sound to sync to the video
because I think it will make it more repulsive.
He should scream each time the knife gets stuck
in him, not 7 seconds early.

i have seen the video. it is very sickening.
a friend sent it to me over the internet and i dont know how he got it. it is very quiet, but i didnt turn it up because i knew i didn't want to hear those screams. although i did hear it enough. they hack at his throat for about 2 minutes and manage to finally get his head to come off and they hold it in the air. nick berg's screaming stops and soon as they go past the voice box. my advice is not to watch it. it is history, but not history to be remembered. nick berg... i hope you are in heaven, or somewhere better than here.
